Fanlisting? ⟩⟩

As stated at the The fanlistings.org, a fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.

About Fake ⟩⟩

Dee Laytner and Randy "Ryo" Maclane are two New York cops taking a needed vacation in England. Dee has very strong feelings for Ryo and wants to take this chance to advance their relationship (and if he's lucky, maybe seduce Ryo). Ryo doesn't understand his own feelings for Dee, and doesn't know if he wants to (or should) acknowledge them. Their vacation and relationship is suddenly disturbed when murders and missing person reports keep surfacing around their hotel. The only common tie the cases have is that all of the victims were Japanese or Japanese descent. Dee and Ryo have to solve the case before Ryo, who is half Japanese, becomes the next victim.

Fake Review ⟩⟩

Fake was also adapted into an OVA (Anime) based on the 5th act of the second volume. Ryo along with Bikky are planning a vacation to the English country side, of course Dee manages to invite himself (after much begging for the same time off) and finds a way to bribe Bikky into not coming so he and Ryo can spend some ‘adult time’ together. Best $100 bucks he has ever had to part with! Unfortunately, things don’t go so well when on their first day they find a dead body and all thoughts of a quiet vacation (and in Dee’s case, seduction) are thrown out the window. Now it is up to Dee and Ryo along with (Commissioner) Berkeley Rose to solve this mystery before the murderer strikes once more (and so Dee can continue his plans of getting into Ryo’s pants).

Story wise the OVA has slight differences from the manga, the introduction of new characters Arisa and Cindy for one thing; but they do not deflect from the story in any way. In fact, I liked their interaction with both Dee and Ryo. The ending was completely different, I would have preferred to see the tender moment between Dee and Ryo that was in the manga over the ending of the OVA, but overall I enjoyed it, especially the opening theme! ...
